Take a look at our first wave of updates to the UI! 

After last year’s refresh of our logo and branding, we were inspired to link the in-game UI with this new aesthetic. You’ll notice splash art displayed in Legend select, a brand new look for the top right player menu, new fonts, all new buttons, and much much more. So fancy!

This is the first installment of a series of changes we’ll be making to our UI to get this awesome new look fully implemented across the game. 

In addition to the launch of King Zuva, Patch 8.15 brings more Esports Weapon Skins into Mallhalla, alongside new Doodle Avatars for Imugi and King Zuva.

Gameplay

• Removed the “Mayhem” Map Pool from the following queues: Friendly 2v2, Strikeout, and Experimental.

• Removed the ability for players to hug the wall underneath the stage on Fabled City.
• Steam, Ubisoft Connect, and Epic now support using the PS5 DualSense Edge controller.

Art & Animation

• Adjusted the animation for Hammer’s Neutral and Down Light attacks to fix issues where Legends’ joints would detach on some Skins.

UX

• If you use the Ojousama Laugh Emote right at the end of a match, the sound will now fade out as the screen switches to the post-match screen. 

Localization

• Added missing Korean localization to the Cross-play & Account Linking tile popup.
• Updated the Turkish Localization for “Bewitching Scarlet” Brawlhalloween Skin.
• Various localization updates for Mega Man Items.

Gameplay

• Vivi Neutral Blasters: Fixed a case where the target could be dropped before the final hit when striking with an extreme edge of the middle hit window.
• Fixed a bug in the Oddbrawl Game Mode where you could get points for any Weapon throw.

UI

• Fixed a bug in which The Master Chief’s hands would disappear during his character select animation when the Mega Buster Blasters Weapon Skin was equipped.

Opponents and heavy hits abound! Swing away with reckless abandon and blast your foes out of the arena with 200% damage! Score 2 points for a knockout and lose a point for being knocked out yourself in this 8 player 3 minute free for all queue!

The free-to-play Legend rotation for this week features: Munin, Wu Shang, Sir Roland, Thor, Cross, Red Raptor, Brynn, Lin Fei, and Mako.

• Munin – Rocking out to the sweet sounds of her Scythe and Bow, she’s ready to brawl in the Grand Tournament and finish her next Ravenqueen concert!
• Wu Shang – Using the way of peace, discipline and martial arts, he takes down his foes with Spear and Gauntlets!
• Sir Roland – No one in Valhalla feels a greater thirst for victory in the tournament than Sir Roland as he strikes down his opponents with Rocket Lance and Sword.
• Thor – Finally entering the ring, Thor, God of Thunder, makes his appearance in the Grand Tournament with his trusty Hammer, Mjölnir, and his powerful Orb.
• Cross – For years he has owned New York City, but can he do the same in Valhalla? This charismatic mobster steps into Valhalla with Blasters and Gauntlets.
• Red Raptor – Armed with Garuda’s Core Orb and Squadron Strikers Battle Boots, The Last Sentai fights in the Grand Tournament, but hopes for a chance to save the souls of his lost teammates.
• Brynn – Competing for the pure joy of it, this Valkyrie has seen many victories due to her skill with the Axe and Spear.
• Lin Fei – A defender of the innocent and teacher of the lost ways.  She is a great teacher who has developed her own fighting style, the ‘Way of the Iron Dragon,’ which utilizes her Cannon, Katars and an ancestral dragon-spirit.
• Mako – The ultimate apex predator from The Sea, Mako, with her Greatsword and Katars, aims to make fish meat out of her opponents in the Grand Tournament.
